Nipple Problems
It is a very common problem that the nipple is pulled into the breast tissue and collapsed. Another situation is that the nipple is larger than normal and protruding. Retracted nipples can trigger infections by accumulation of secretions in this area. Larger-than-normal nipples, on the other hand, can cause visual discomfort by being too obvious from clothes. These problems can be corrected by surgical methods.

Inverted nipple treatment
Sunken nipple deformity is a unilateral or bilateral problem in 2-3% of women. It can cause health problems such as the inability of the child to catch the nipple sufficiently during breastfeeding, as well as a decrease in visual self-confidence or sexual problems.
Recession may occur due to developmental or subsequent infection in the nipple. In the collapses that occur since the developmental period, the milk ducts may be replaced by the tight tissue we call connective tissue and may be pulling the nipple in. In these patients, there may also be a problem of not developing the milk duct. The subsequent collapses may be due to the retraction of the healing tissues due to the infection, and if these recessions are released, the problem can be corrected.
Applied in surgery It is in the form of releasing the shrinking tissues around the nipple and placing permanent sutures to prevent the nipple from escaping back. It should not be forgotten that there may be developmental disorders in the milk ducts in congenital collapses and there may be problems in breastfeeding. If surgery has been applied to congenital collapses and there is a breastfeeding problem afterwards, it should not be directly connected to surgery.
Reduction of large nipples
Different methods have been described for reducing wide or longer than normal nipples. Among these, techniques that do not damage the milk ducts and create an aesthetically pleasing appearance are preferred. The choice of technique is decided according to the patient's examination findings.
Nipple reduction can be performed with any breast aesthetic surgery, or it can be applied alone under local anesthesia.
